Tuckshop PDF Print E-mail

The Tuckshop is run by the Parents & Citizens Association through a convenor and is a sub committee of the Parents and Citizens Association which is completely voluntary in its make-up. The Tuckshop is open Monday to Friday from 8:15am until 1:45pm. The Tuckshop is closed on the last Friday of the school year.

It aims to serve appetising and nutritious food at the lowest possible price so that both children and parents get best value for their money. Other fundraising functions may be held throughout the year, the profits of which are handed to the Parents and Citizens Association to be spent as seen fit for the advantage of the whole school.

As with all voluntary organisations, help is scarce and new helpers are always welcomed. Working in the Tuckshop is just like being in your own kitchen at home eg. making sandwiches, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Also making new friendships, having a good time and a few laughs. A free lunch is supplied for helpers (a salad sandwich and tea or coffee). Anyone interested in helping should contact the Tuckshop by phone (07) 5477 3748 or via email by clicking on the link below.

When ordering food from the Tuckshop parents are asked to provide the child with a paper bag with the child's name, class, food order and amount of money enclosed CLEARLY MARKED on the outside. The money should be securely enclosed inside. This paper bag should then be placed in the slot at the Tuckshop before school. A separate bag should be provided for little lunch and big lunch.

The Tuckshop is closed for little lunch over the counter sales. All food and drink items for little lunch must be ordered before school. The Tuckshop is open for big lunch over the counter sales. Children can come to the Tuckshop after the second bell at big lunch, 1:10pm until 1:30pm. Over the counter sales for big lunch are limited to snack foods and drinks with no hot food available for purchase.

Sports Days

Parents, Grandparents and other adults attending sports days who require morning tea and/or lunch have to put their orders in before school the same as the children. ALL FOOD NEEDS TO BE PREORDERED. Only drinks and snacks are available for purchase over the counter at big lunch only.
