2010 Book Lists Please look out for 2010 book lists which will be sent home next week. These lists provide an opportunity to gather all your child/ren's stationery and textbook needs for 2010 in one easy transaction. The prices are extremely economical and home delivery is provided at a very cheap $4.50 per household! Also, the school will benefit by receiving 15% commission on all sales! Prices for each year level will not exceed the following: Year 1 - $84.28, Year 2 - $96.41, Year 3 - $91.79, Year 4 - $92.42, Year 5 - $61.42, Year 6 - $101.90, Year 7 - $106.93 and Multiage 5/6 & 6/7 - $94.84. Please note that these amounts include items that may not need to be purchased as your child/ren may already have the items. Prep will not have a book list, but will continue to have a classroom resource scheme (CRS) levy of $100 for the year. The 1-7 CRS levy will continue to be $40 for the year.
Completed orders including payment will be due back at the school by 20 November for delivery commencing 7 December 2009. Orders may still be lodged after 20 November with a delivery time of around 2 weeks. Please note that home delivery is the only option for receiving your child/ren's book packs this year. Delivery to the school will not be possible as we do not have the storage space due to our classroom refurbishments and our classes having to use Walbai Gundoo (our book pack storage area used in the past) until the end of the year. Further information will be provided on the book list order forms.
Monthly Statement Time Just another reminder for all families who still haven't paid their Classroom Resource Scheme (CRS) levy for 2009, that the levy is $100 for Prep and $40 for years 1-7. This voluntary resource scheme, which has the full support of our P&C Association, is vital for the purchase of classroom resources and consumables that enhance the learning opportunities for each class. If we don't receive these levies from families, the funds must come from school grant funding that could be used to purchase additional resources for the benefit of all our students. Thank you to the families who have already paid their contribution. We would appreciate the families who have not yet paid to please do so at your earliest convenience.
Please note that we are still carrying an unusually large amount of debt at the moment and ask families who have still haven't paid for levies and/or activities, especially CRS, RE Books, Instrumental Music levies and HRE lessons, to please do so in the next few weeks. The end of the year is not far off and we need to have all debt paid off prior to the end of the school year.
Statements showing amounts owing have been sent home this week to all families - please check your child's bag for yours. Payment can be made through the office money collection slot, over the telephone by credit card or in person at the money collection window between 8.30am and 9.30am. EFTPOS is available at this time. If you have any queries, or wish to establish a payment plan for your outstanding debt, please do not hesitate to contact me on 5477 3710.
New Gates Please be aware that we will be installing some gates at both our entrances from Daintree Close and Elkhorn Street in the next few weeks. These gates are being installed in an effort to improve school security outside normal school hours, therefore will be locked during school holidays, weekends and before and after school. Regards
