Walkathon: Congratulations to the students and teachers who participated in the Walkathon on Friday afternoon. It was wonderful to see some of our parents come along and support our students. I would like to thank Mrs Belsar, Mr Doherty and Mr Grummitt for their organisation and coordination of the Walkathon. All monies for the Walkathon are due by Friday 6 November. Thank you to all of the parents and community members who donated money to our students for their participation in the Walkathon.
Prep Open Day: Last Thursday our Prep teachers, teacher aides, specialist teachers and Mrs Harvey conducted a most successful Open Day for our incoming Prep students for 2010. To organise an Open Day of this calibre takes a great deal of careful preparation and organisation by the team of staff members involved and I would like to thank all of them for their efforts in making this a positive first experience for these little people and their families. Community members who are aware of children who maybe attending Prep at The Kuluin School next year should advise parents to advise the school office of this student as soon as possible.

Early Years Fashion Parade: Tickets for the Early Years Fashion Parade are still able to be purchased. The Fashion Parade will be held on Saturday night 7 November ( see enclosed flyer) Please consider supporting our school, gathering some friends and coming along to enjoy a fun night out.
School Expectations: In recent months we have been experiencing some problems with High School students who are coming onto our campus to collect their younger siblings. One of our three school rules is Being Respectful and this is an expectation for our whole school community. When older students are waiting for their brothers/sisters of an afternoon we expect that they will be sitting quietly waiting outside their brothers/sisters classroom and not playing loud games, riding bikes/scooters, wandering through the school grounds or causing any other disruption to the learning and teaching in our school. I would encourage parents who have given this responsibility to their older children to reinforce our expectations with your child.
