Two Minute Drop Off/Pick Up Zones
Parking around schools is limited and drivers have been parking in Two Minute zones, and No Stopping/Standing/Parking zones and bus stops.
These actions are dangerous for children traveling to and from school. Some parents often park in driveways which results in calls from irate home-owners unable to get their cars in or out of their own driveways.
Police and councils have advised they will visit schools periodically during the year to issue traffic offence notices to offending drivers. |

Your talents were much appreciated at our cake stall last Saturday. We managed to raise $180. This money will help our music program. Anne Slager (who makes the best banana cakes!!!!) organised the cake stall to coincide with the local council elections. Thankyou ever so much Anne and also Sue Lattimer who helped man the stall. It was great that everything sold including MY baking.
The junior and senior choirs have begun practicing in earnest. The senior choir will be singing on the last Wednesday of term on the junior school parade (Wednesday the 2nd of April) and the junior choir will be singing the last day of term during the middle school parade (April the 4th).
Orchestra and band rehearsals are sounding brilliant as well. Keep practising everyone because the effort you put in does make it all worth while.
Finally, music quote of the week: “We don’t like their sound and guitar music is on the way out.” (Decca recording company rejecting the Beatles in 1962.)

We had a very busy morning in the craft room. Bath salts are all finally made and in their jars, waiting to be wrapped. Wooden door hangers and coasters all painted waiting to be decoupage, Mums promise booklets stapled and wrapped. Thanks to those extra mums (Mary Pace and Pauline Lenuzza) who came and lent a hand, which made a huge difference. Hopefully after the Easter break, we will have some more hands on deck. We have a lot to finish and less time. Thanks this week to Michelle Thompson who has been busy doing cutting out work at home and to the mums who have been dropping off baby food jars. Much appreciated.
