Daria Bodman, a grade 6 student has used one of her favourite pastimes of reading to raise money for those in need. She entered the MS Readathon which helps people with multiple sclerosis. Her fine effort raised an amazing $222 for this good cause. Well done, Daria.

This is the call I have heard in many circles lately. It was discussed at the P&C meeting last week and was decided to plan a Carols night that will be outdoors, involve the kids more and be a night where families can relax and enjoy the entertainment. The format at this stage will be 2-3 covers bands playing from late afternoon, the Lip Synch final practice, then the carols sung by the children with special guest spots throughout the night. We are planning to keep the catering simple to maximise everyone’s access to the entertainment. We will organise a sausage sizzle and have drinks for sale. With every great presentation, there will be lots of people to thank. Hopefully, you will be one of those people because we will need lots of help on Sunday 7 December to set up the stage and decorations and lots of people helping out leading up to the day. Thanks to those people who have already volunteered their time. Let’s make this a great night to remember – Together.

Those who follow fashion trends will know that Rome, Milan, Paris, New York, London and Kunda Park are all well known hubs of the fashionistas. While Kunda Park might not be known as well as the others as a purveyor of fine fashion – it certainly was on Saturday afternoon. Our Early Years Committee had arranged a fashion parade with co-ordinated outfits from Pumpkin Patch and Urban Angels. The clothes were modelled by an exclusive model agency – ‘The Kuluin School’. Children from babies to teenagers ‘strutted their stuff’ to a delighted audience of Kuluin families and friends. Their carefully choreographed routines highlighted their natural catwalk flair, obviously beautiful physical attributes and distinctive style. The afternoon was part of our fundraising efforts and made over $1600 in ticket and raffle sales. This money will go directly to the playground funds.
