Many children are auditioning this week for “Kuluin’s Got Talent”. This should be a fun competition with all students from grade 5 though to grade 7 having the chance to showcase their talent. Lip-sync is also proving very popular again this year. All students from grade 3- 7 are welcome to have a go |

In Term 3, the School Opinion Surveys were randomly delivered to 40 families. The results have been received with the following data being noteworthy:
· 94.4% of families surveyed are satisfied or very satisfied that Kuluin is a good school; · 94.5% responded that their child/ren are happy to go to this school; · “Are you satisfied that your child is getting a good education?” received a result that is above the state average score; · There is an increasing trend since 2006 in the level of satisfaction with opportunities to participate in the life of the school and with decision making at the school; · There is a downward trend in satisfaction with the grounds and the building. This has been addressed by QBuild with a special allocation of $87 500 for high priority maintenance (painting, replacing walkways and cleaning gutters) plus the annual maintenance allocation of $35 500. This will make a big difference to our school.
There are more good news stories out of the data as well as some areas in which we can improve in the future. We will discuss this data in more detail in future newsletters and at P&C meetings next year as well as ensuring strategies are included in the Annual Plan to increase outcomes and improve deficiencies.

Next Tuesday 2 December, we will be having our combined Religious Instruction Parade for 2008. The Preps to Year Three will meet in the Senior Covered Area from 9-9:40am. The Years 4-7 parade will follow at 9:40.
This year we are having a Free Dress Day to help raise funds to support the Iris Williams Memorial Award.
We would encourage all children to wear red or green or white (Christmas colours) and bring a gold coin to donate. Thank you for your support.
