Principal's Report

Welcome back to Term Two everyone! I trust that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and we are all looking forward to the Term ahead of us. Term Two is always an extremely busy Term as we have Voices on the Coast, Anzac Day, NAPLAN Testing for our Year 3, 5 & 7 students, Year 6 & 7 Camp, Aladdin Musical, Fanfare, Under 8’s Day and Athletics Carnivals. I look forward to Term 2 being a positive and rewarding experience for us all.

Staffing Changes:

I would like to welcome Akeisha Collins, Sara Davies, Kerri Cook and Kristie Philp to our staff. Ms Kindt will be on leave for the first three weeks of the Term and will be replaced by Ms Dolphin who will be Deputy Principal (Year 4-7). Mrs Venz will be acting as Head of Special Education Services (HOSE’s) and Ms Philp will be part of the SEP teaching staff.

Anzac Services:

This week we will be conducting Anzac Commemorative Ceremonies on Thursday 24-04-14. These services will be held at the flagpole area of the school. The Junior School Commemorative Service will be held at 9:00 a.m and the Upper School Service is to commence at approximately 9:40 a.m. – approx. 10:00 a.m. Parents are cordially invited to attend our school Commemorative Services.

All Kuluin students and staff are invited to attend the annual Anzac Day March at Cotton Tree.  Everyone should assemble in Memorial Avenue in front of Maroochydore RSL by 8:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. Ms Dolphin will be the Leadership Team member that children should report to for their name to be recorded. The march will commence at 8:30 a.m. and will proceed to the Cenotaph on Cotton Tree Esplanade. All students are required to be in full Kuluin School with their broad brimmed hat and a water bottle. It is advisable for all students to apply sunscreen prior to the march.
