Competition extended

19/05/2017

Mayor Mark Jamieson joined Kuluin State School this morning to set the kids off on their 3rd annual walk. It was a great turnout by children, parents and the school community, and we even saw Constable Clancy from the Queensland Police Service trotting about. Great work, Kuluin!

Sadly some schools were unable to participate in their planned activities as the weather closed in on them. To ensure that all participants are recognised for embracing National Walk Safely to School Day (NWSTSD), council is pleased to announce it has extended the competition closing date to 5pm Friday 26 May 2017.

Students participating in any NWSTSD event up to and including Friday 26 May 2017 are eligible to enter. Registration is easy via council’s website https://www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/Living-and-Community/Roads-and-Transport/Road-Safety/Walk-Safely-to-School-Day

If you have postponed your walk to next week, make sure your kids know how to register for their chance to win 1 of 10 children’s scooters or 1 of 10 children’s skateboards. Minor prizes up for grabs too.
